frequently asked questions

Q: What is your address?  (take street across 285 from the Jefferson Market, church is on the right)

Grace Church of South Park

6259 County Road 35

PO Box 216

Jefferson, CO 80456

Q: What is your Phone number?

Q: What time is your Sunday service?

We have a time of coffee and fellowship at 9:00 a.m. The service begins at 9:30 a.m. with about 45 minutes to an hour of singing, Scripture reading, prayer, and testimony. Pastor Al’s sermons typically run 45 minutes to an hour.

Q: What Bible translation is used at Grace Church?

Pastor Al primarily uses the New American Standard Bible (NASB) when teaching and preaching but also uses many others in his personal study and often uses them when posting a Scripture for the congregation to view during the sermon, including but not limited to: King James Version (KJV), New King James Version (NKJV), English Standard Version (ESV), Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), New Living Translation (NLT), and the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB). Only the original manuscripts written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic are inspired by the Holy Spirit; no translation (English or otherwise) carries with it that same inspiration of the Holy Spirit, so Pastor Al uses many resources that help with the original languages to ensure the true meaning is expressed in his teaching and preaching.

Q: What is the music like at Grace Church?

We sing a lot! We have not yet been blessed with the type of musicians needed for live instruments accompanying our singing so we extensively use recorded music to sing along with. We sing many different styles of Christian music but primarily make use of a mix praise & worship music and the classic and modern hymns.

Q: What about children?

We have childcare for the infants and pre-school children during the entire service. The school aged children stay in the main service during the music and testimony portion but are then dismissed to their own class during the preaching to receive Bible teaching on their own level.

Q: What are your beliefs?

See We Believe for more information.

A more complete treatment of what we believe is available on the resource table at the church.

Q: How can I contribute to Grace Church of South Park?

Many of you listen to sermons on CD from our CD Ministry or download sermons or series from this site. For some, we are your "home church" even if you do not live in our area.  We do encourage you to find a local Bible based home church.

Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At Grace Church of South Park, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.
